Privacy Policy

Kahaani is a read-along storybook app for children. It collects no personal information, shows no ads, uses no tracking or analytics, and works fully offline. Nothing you or your child does in the app ever leaves the device.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Kahaani has no user accounts and never asks for a name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or photos. We do not collect device identifiers or usage analytics, and we do not build profiles of any kind.

No ads, no tracking, no third parties

Kahaani contains no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no analytics or tracking technologies. We do not track you or your child across other apps or websites, and we do not share or sell any information — because we don’t collect any.

Information stored only on your device

To make the app work, Kahaani saves a few things locally on your device, such as reading progress, coloring pictures, stickers earned, and your in-app settings. This information stays on the device, is never uploaded to us or anyone else, and is removed when you delete the app.

Microphone (optional)

Kahaani lets a parent record their own voice narrating a story. The microphone is used only when you choose to record, and any recordings are saved only on your device. They are never uploaded, shared, or accessed by us, and you can delete them at any time from within the app.

Children’s privacy

Kahaani is designed for young children and is committed to protecting their privacy. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13, consistent with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws. Settings intended for grown-ups are protected behind a parental gate.

Network use

Kahaani works entirely offline. The app does not connect to our servers or any third-party services, and no internet connection is required to read the stories.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Any changes are released together with a future version of the app.
